We offer free English classes in Aurora to the refugee and immigrant population, in the
surrounding neighborhoods of ROP, to help them overcome the language barriers they
face living in the United States.
Interested participants are assessed on their current English skills and then placed into one of our four class
levels (Basic, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3).
Each class meets twice a week for two hours and students work on English proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and
writing.
Our classes meet from September through May, and we follow the same holidays as Aurora Public Schools. Our classes are tuition free, but we do ask students to help purchase the English book we use ($25 each).
We utilize the Cambridge Ventures curriculum in each level, and
students are able to advance to the next level at the end of each school year.
If you or a family member are interested in joining our English program, please contact the director, Angie Long (information below).
