ROP is seeking everyday Christians to reach out to meet the needs of the marginalized adults, families, and children in our community through a choice of several large community outreaches each year. Outreaches include Easter, Back to School BBQ, Thanksgiving Dinner, and Christmas Family Blessing Party. There is usually a 4 – 6-hour commitment for each outreach.

We are in need of a computer-based training instructors to volunteer one or two days per week for two-three hours per day. Individual(s) must have a working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Computer equipment and training in Quicken and Microsoft Access will be available to the instructor. The instructor will teach beginning computers and the above-mentioned classes to a group with little to no computer knowledge.

Individuals/groups are needed to come in on an as-needed basis to help bag various Food Pantry bulk commodities including flour, dry beans, rice, and other such items into smaller portions.

Churches/small groups are needed to adopt one month a year to do a regular food drive to stock our pantry. With twelve such partners, ROP could continually provide for the emergency and weekly food bank for our ever changing community.

ROP is seeking everyday Christians to reach out with a small group of 6 to 12, to meet the needs of the marginalized adults, families, and children living in motels close to our building. Great opportunity to love on needy people simply by offering a hot meal, hanging out, and praying with them. A wonderful introduction to urban relational ministry in the city on one-time basis – usually on a Saturday afternoon in about 4 hrs. (eg. 4-8 p.m.) Email Vicki Bryant or call 303-898-0649.
Bring a group or family to completely clean one or more of our ROP ministry program rooms. Something more exciting? Combine an urban experience with a service project and help wash sleeping bags, pillows, etc. at our local laundromat along with a ROP staff member. Learn about urban missions as you get the chance to experience our community.

Not only for the holidays but year-round, we seek to meet the emergency needs of the homeless men and women that are seeking help. Would your church or small group prayerfully consider gathering supplies or creating some gift bags to help us bless these brothers and sisters? Each bag contains a warm hat, gloves, scarf, warm socks, beef jerky, a bag of sweets or cookies, insulated mug, devotional or Bible, and one cold weather item such as a hoodie, jacket or sweatshirt.

Office or ministry projects such as: stuffing envelopes for mailings, creating ministry boards or flyers for events, year-end file clean up, even hosting a house party to share about ROP's exciting call to help everyday Christians build God’s kingdom along East Colfax in Aurora, CO.

When finances are tight, holidays often go unnoticed or under-celebrated. We look for groups to come and be part of the outreaches a bash for our children with a Christian message. Consider joining another small group to provide an afternoon of fun, including cake or a small gift for each kid, and a meal (i.e. hot dogs, pizza, etc).

Mondays or Wednesday evenings –
The children and youth we are serving not only come hungry for love, truth, and acceptance but also food. We provide a warm snack for our children every Monday evening and for youth every Wednesday night. Consider committing to provide all or part of a “meal” one night.
